Haywood Highsmith Jr. 6’7 Senior Wheeling Jesuit University 22.0 ppg 12.5 rpg… Haywood will be graduating this May from WJU. He currently holds a 3.4 GPA majoring in Business Management. Haywood attended Archbishop Curley High School in Baltimore MD.
Coming out of high school he didn’t receive one D1 or D2 basketball offer until Coach Sancomb at Wheeling Jesuit University saw him playing in an AAU tpurnament. Four years later, Haywood has rewritten the record books.
He will be invited to several NBA camps this summer and has a great chance of making an NBA team.
Haywood Highsmith led WJU to its fourth-straight 20-plus win season, third-straight NCAA Atlantic Region appearance and the Mountain East Conference Tournament crown. The senior led Division II with 29 double-doubles and total rebounds (389), while third in rebounding (12.5 rpg). He also was third in the MEC and tops on the WJU squad with a 22.0 ppg average.
